Step back into American numismatic history with this 1878–1921 P Version Morgan Silver Dollar Replica, inspired by one of the most iconic American silver dollar designs.
The Morgan Dollar was designed by George T. Morgan and was originally minted from 1878 to 1904, then again in 1921. It features the elegant portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse and a powerful American eagle on the reverse, making it one of the most recognizable classic U.S. coin designs.
What Does the “P Version” Mean?
The “P Version” refers to the Philadelphia Mint version of the Morgan Dollar.
The original Morgan Dollars were struck at several U.S. Mint facilities, including Philadelphia, San Francisco, New Orleans, Carson City, and Denver. Philadelphia-produced Morgan Dollars were historically made without a mint mark, while other facilities used identifying marks such as S, O, CC, or D.
For this modern replica, “P Version” is used to identify the Philadelphia version of the design. It does not mean that an authentic 1878–1921 Philadelphia Morgan Dollar originally carried a “P” mint mark.
Classic Morgan Dollar Design
The obverse showcases a detailed portrait of Lady Liberty, wearing a Liberty cap and surrounded by stars and traditional United States inscriptions.
The reverse features the famous American eagle with outstretched wings, surrounded by a wreath and classic lettering. Detailed relief and a vintage-inspired appearance give this replica the look of a historic Morgan Dollar.
